The north star is the most reliable star in the sky. While other stars move as the Earth rotates, the north star remains steady. North Star Consulting Services (LLC) is no different. Founded by Hasani Wattley, North Star is a Trinidadian company engineering intelligent ideas that transform both built and social environments — reliably executing projects that excite. North Star was incorporated in 2018.
Like the star itself, North Star Consulting’s projects impact people across the world. Under the watchful eye of Wattley, both an accomplished engineer and respected entrepreneur, its three pillars of business are engineering, entertainment, and education. North Star Consulting’s engineering clients have included BP, BG, and Shell, and have serviced Trinidad and Tobago as well as Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Guyana, and others. Wattley acquired much of this expertise as an employee of SLB, the world’s largest offshore drilling company. North Star’s cultural projects — bolstered by expertise in event production, supply chain management, talent and facilities management, accounting and finance, procurement and logistics — have awed patrons across the Caribbean diaspora and beyond, helping to render the art of Carnival both economically viable and exportable. Its educational arm seeks to mould entrepreneurs as well as to train employees in dire skills required for local cultural production — an effort North Star Consulting is presently accomplishing through its contribution to spöol, a social enterprise that teaches at-risk women garment manufacturing.
